About
Stille — quiet by design
An independent open-source messenger where attention stays on the conversation, not the decoration around it.
The app and the core
The Android client is built on stille-messenger-core. The core handles connections and cryptography; the app handles the interface, profile, contacts and conversations.
Stille uses peer-to-peer connections over an available route. Local discovery, direct connections or a self-hosted relay may be possible depending on the network.
Encryption and trust
The project documents end-to-end post-quantum encryption; the core manages keys and cryptography. The source code is available for inspection.
Open source does not mean an independent security audit has been completed. We do not promise absolute anonymity: connection properties depend on the route and configuration.
